We have a new addition to our Best of Show Patron Package this year- Harry P. Leu Gardens!
Orlando, Florida— Harry P. Leu Gardens presents an amazing, award-winning outdoor exhibit which will delight all ages: Nature Connects® Art with LEGO® Bricks by Sean Kenney, January 12 – April 22, 2018. Nature Connects is an incredible exhibit which features many larger-than-life sculptures built with LEGO® bricks. Over 450,000 bricks were used in this exhibit to bring nature to life. Imagine a 6-foot hummingbird hovering over a trumpet flower! Or, seeing a family of deer grazing on the grassy vista! This exhibit features 16 sculptures in 13 displays throughout the 50-acre garden creating a very visual and fun experience for all visitors. “The use of LEGO® bricks as the art medium is ingenious. Each piece connects to another to make a colorful sculpture of nature as nature connects to each other. Plants, animals and insects have a defining role to play and those relationships helps keep nature in balance,” said Robert Bowden, Director of Harry P. Leu Gardens.
Join us for Connect to Nature Day on Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., a special family fun-filled day exploring nature and how everything in nature connects together. Connect to Nature Day will include hands-on activities, crafts, and a scavenger hunt! Thanks to the Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs grant and the Friends of Leu Gardens for their generous support of this project.
Admission to the exhibit is included with regular garden admission: $10 adult, $5 child ages 4 – 17 years). Leu Gardens is located at 1920 North Forest Avenue. Visit leugardens.org or call 407.246.2620 for more information.
